Drawing on combined experience of more than eight decades in practice, on the bench and in the classroom, we serve professionals (attorneys, accountants, etc.) as experts, both in a consulting capacity and as potential witnesses. We do not accept engagements by traditional clients but may assist a professional (lawyer or accountant), who may not specialize in bankruptcy or commercial law, but has a client with litigation or other matters in these areas and requires assistance, for a limited time, to properly serve the client. We limit these engagements to matters involving bankruptcy and commercial (UCC and mortgage) law, where we find that we work most efficiently and credibly. Examples of such work that we have done include:
- serving as an expert on Chapter 13 procedures in mortgage litigation and related class actions…
- serving as an expert on the standard of care in a lawyer’s defense of professional liability litigation involving bankruptcy practice…
- conducting a mock trial, to allow bankruptcy court litigants to refine issues for trial…
